Who uses a Life Coach? Lots of people that you don't even realize - athletes (Tiger Woods and Michael Jordan),
businessmen (Donald Trump), entrepreneurs (I hired one when I started my consulting business), and every day people who
want more out of life. Life Coaching is available in various forms - whatever works best for both us can be set up.
When you hire me, I will send you an extensive questionnaire that will help us focus on the areas of your life
that can most benefit from coaching. Sometimes we may "wander off on tangents", particularly if something
happens in your life that's big and you want to talk about it. Don't worry about these "detours" as they aren't
really detours at all - when you clean up your life in one area, all areas are affected. In other words, if our
initial focus is about your business or your finances and we come to a point where we're discussing your relationships
with others, it really is all in one package - your life is your life and the areas that are screaming the loudest
affect your whole life experience.
A little about me: I have spent over 25 years as a litigation paralegal assisting all kinds of people with
legal issues regarding personal injury, workers compensation, divorce, child custody, family law, criminal
law, and intellectual property. During that time, I learned how to hold lots of different hands.
Then I was introduced to some people who believe that if you focus on what you want and ignore the rest,
you get better results. I tried it and it worked. So I sought out more and more people who believe that
you get what you think about it. I researched and studied everything I could and attended seminars, clinics
and all kinds of lessons. While I will always be a student of that which interests me, I came to understand
that one of the best ways to learn is through living one's beliefs and also by teaching those beliefs to others.
I began experiencing huge changes in my life - not only material manifestations, but I changed deep in my core
being . . . or maybe I just remembered who I really am. I started wanting to share what I knew to be true.
I began sharing what I had learned about horses and horsemanship. The more I shared, the more I learned.
The more I learned, the more empowered I became. I made some pretty drastic life changes - moved to a different
state and divorced my husband. I am happier now than I have ever been.
Even though my particular journey path is not yours and your choices are not the same as mine, wouldn't you like
to make choices based on what makes your heart sing rather than what you feel you SHOULD do or what someone
else expects you to do? Wouldn't it be nice if there was someone with experience in the journey beside
you holding your hand along the way . . . cheering you on . . . applauding you . . . encouraging you . . .
and sometimes smacking you "upside the head" when you need it?
Coaching sessions are $45 per hour and are by appointment only.
These must be pre-arranged for a specific date and time, and you will call me at the appointed time.
I do prefer that we schedule a series of consultations rather than just one-time
consultations. The reason is that it will take a short bit of time for us to get to
know each other and for me to learn which coaching style suits you best.
If you prefer to communicate by email or instant message, these consultations can be arranged
on an ongoing basis. I use Yahoo! Instant Messenger. Instant Messaging consultations are considered
the same as telephone sessions in that the charge is $45 per hour.
Most consultations are scheduled for weekday evening hours (East Coast time); however
if your life situation necessitates weekend consultations, these can be arranged.
I do expect you to set aside the scheduled time to be free from interruptions so that
our time together is as productive as possible.
WARNING #1: I do give "homework"! Sometimes it's just something I ask you to think about until we chat again
and sometimes it's to practice a short exercise. This is part of the process. If you are truly committed
to expanding your life, I promise your homework will be always intended to bring you joy.
WARNING #2: When you hire me, I truly become your Life Coach. My goal is to assist you in crafting the life you tell me
you want. At times, I may say things to you that you don't understand. If or when this happens, ask me for an explanation.
There may also be a time when you feel I am being mean or insensitive or a bully or rude or blunt (I am happy to say
that I have been accused of all of these things at one time or another!). At these times, I will remind you that our
progress is based on me being your coach, not your yes-person.
I promise you I will always have your best interests at heart. I will always tell you what I feel as honestly
as I can and with as much kindness and gentility as I can. I do not participate in Pity Parties nor do I play Ain't It Awful.
I'm sure you have friends and family that can do that for you!
